最優秀新人賞、Best New ArtistをとったAlessia Cara、2018年注目度が一気に上がっているCamila Cabello、

そして今年のグラミーを席巻したBruno Mars。この３人の授賞式でのスピーチで英語を勉強していこうと

思います。

神聖な牛、神聖なクソってことなんですが、よく使うので覚えましょう。

pretending to win Grammys グラミー賞を取ったふりをしていた

賞を取るは英語ではwin awardになります。

Alessiaはpretend winningと言っていますが、これは真似受賞をしてたっていう感じでしょうか。

一般的な言い方はpretend to winです。

そしてどこで賞をとった真似をしてたかというとlike in my showerシャワーの中で。

これ結構をアメリカ人が言うんですけどbest ideaはシャワーの中でもいつく。

どうもシャワーの中っていうのは何かを考えついたり、こんな風に真似して見たり、

なりきって歌を歌ったり、結構アメリカ人にはいろいろとポイントになる時間のようです。

そして

だから、スピーチなんか準備できてると思うかもしれないけど、でも全然準備してないの。

So I'm 15 years old and I'm opening up a show in Hawaii called Magic of Polynesia.

I'm in front of the curtain and I'm singing songs and my job in that show was to entertain about a thousand people, a thousand tourists from all over the world.

And with those songs, I remember seeing it...I remember seeing at first hand, people dancing that have never met each other from the two sides of globe.

All I wanted to do with this album was that.

これもいい話ですね。ブルーノが15歳の時の話をしている。15歳の時に１０００人もの観光客の前でマジックオブポリネシアっていうショーで歌った。その時、地球の反対側から来た観光客が目の前で初めてそこであったのにもかかわらず楽しそうに踊っていたのを覚えている。僕がこのアルバムでやりたかったのはまさにそれなんだ。
